Call for Nominations to the Olde Forge Board of Directors

The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre is seeking candidates to join our volunteer Board of Directors for a three (3) year term beginning September 2025. Our Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who volunteer their time to provide stewardship to the organization on behalf of our members and clientele.

The Olde Forge Community Resource Centre is seeking candidates to join our volunteer Board of Directors for a three (3) year term beginning September 2025. We are a not-for-profit charitable organization offering community support services and programs that enable seniors and adults with physical disabilities to live independently in their communities. Our Board of Directors is comprised of individuals who volunteer their time to provide stewardship to the organization on behalf of our members and clientele.

Committed individuals with experience or competencies in any of the following or other areas are encouraged to apply. Individual candidates need not have all the listed skills and experience.

· Community Relations / Fundraising / Marketing

· Health System Planning/Strategy/Administration

· Not-for-Profit Governance

· Accounting & Financial Management

· Legal & Regulatory Compliance

· Lived experience as a client or caregiver of the Olde Forge

The expected time commitment is approximately 6 hours/month. Board meetings are held both in-person at the Olde Forge and in a virtual format, typically on the last Tuesday evening of the month.

It is anticipated that interviews will be conducted in late May 2025 and selected candidates will be formally elected to the Board at our Annual Meeting of Members in September 2025.
